The woman claims that in 2019 Baburaj invited her to his house in Aluva under the pretext of discussing a film role. She was made to believe that a director and screenwriter were at his house, promising an important role in a full-length story. However, when she went there, Baburaj forced himself into the room where she was asked to take rest and sexually assaulted her.
“He gave me a room to rest and told me that the filmmakers would come shortly. However, after a while, he knocked at the door and then started physically abusing me,” India Today quotes as the artist is saying.
She ran away from the house and never met Baburaj again while he kept sending inappropriate messages on WhatsApp to her, the woman added. “However, I never responded to him,” she said.
The woman alleged that many women have fallen victims to Baburaj’s advances but are keeping silent because of fear.
She further added that several people from Kochi had also contacted her under the pretense of offering her role alongside actor Shine Tom Chacko. Chacko himself had instructed them to facilitate meetings with him, the woman alleged.

Responding to allegations, Baburaj told Manorama news that from 2015-2020 he resided in Munnar. It was in 2020 he came stay at Aluva. “These are targeted allegations,” and will proceed with strong measures, actor added.
Actress Minu Kurian (aka Minu Muneer) on Monday alleged that she was “subjected to physical and verbal abuse” by actors Mukesh, Jayasurya, Maniyanpilla Raju and Idavela Babu while she was working on a project in the past. The actress made the allegations in a Facebook reel.
As allegations surfaced, actor Siddique resigned as the general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), and director-actor Ranjith from the position of Kerala Chalachitra Academy chairman on Sunday.
