Malayalam superstar Mammootty is on his way to enthrall his audience with yet another virtuoso performance. His next movie, Brahmayugam’s teaser is out. Mammootty plays the role of an antagonist in the movie. Released in black and white, the teaser gave off a chilling effect, making the movie more desirable.

The teaser started with a shirtless man (Arjun Ashokan) standing in front of steps leading to a ruined mana (ancestral house). The frames and cinematography are capturing. Appearance of Mammootty in the film, when paired with the starting dialogue that, “nothing is as complex as time”, emanate an eerie vibe, sparking curiosity about the plotline.

As the shirtless man climbs up the steps, a cautionary voice from background said, “once you enters this mana, it becomes your field, river, and hills”. As the man explores the hidden mysteries, fear and anxiety gradually grips him. At one point of time he was heard as saying to someone “we are not safe here, let’s go”, and yet escape seems to be impossible.

The teaser ends with Mammootty’s character saying, “today marks a significant day as a guest has arrived here after a long time, welcome to my mana”, with a devilish smile on his face and a haunting background score. Giving off a sinister aura paired with chilling eerie smile, Mammootty extinguishes a lamp near him, sinking the frame into pitch darkness, foreshadowing what awaits in the film.

Helmed by Rahul Sadashivan, the movie Brahmayugam (age of madness) is going to be a black and white movie. During the launch of the film, Sadashivan noted that the storyline of the movie is “rooted in the dark ages of Kerala”. The film will release in five languages. The movie will be the debut work of Night Shift Studios, a studio launched exclusively for horror films. Apart from Mammootty, the film also stars Arjun Ashokan, Siddharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz and Manikandan R Achari in lead roles.

Mammootty, the celebrated super star of Malayalam film industry is well known for his gripping performances. With the ability to take audience along with him, the actor’s movies were always the most anticipated and welcomed.
