"Deport Her To Pakistan": Actress Amina Nijam Trolled Over "Shameful Act" Remark On Operation Sindoor (Image-Instagram/amina.nijam)
India struck nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday under Operation Sindoor in a counterattack over Pahalgam terror attack. The Indian government stated that at least 100 terrorists have been killed.
While the whole country is showering their appreciation for the country’s move against terrorism, some citizens have a different opinion. In the line, Mollywood actress Amina Nijam has been facing intense trolling on social media for condemning the operation. She has found herself at the centre of controversy after her Instagram story went viral on social media.
As major actors and technicians across different film industries came forward saluting the bravery of the Indian army, the Turbo actress made a contradictory statement, saying, “Yes, I’m ashamed our country sought out killing as the solution when so many questions are still unanswered and the economic situation of the country is at its worst. Remember, war doesn’t bring peace nor does killing. I don’t support it. People who think they have sought revenge for the Pahalgam attack have been manipulated. It’s a war we are getting into and the loss is only for the civilians. I’m an Indian who thinks for the welfare of its people, not the one that speaks only when the ego is hurt.”
This statement of the actress triggered the social media users, who are now expressing diverse opinions. The actress has been facing intense backlash as she was being heavily trolled and harshly criticised by the netizens.

Reacting to her statement, one X user wrote, “Unbelievable that such fools like #AminaNijam still exist! A nation that harbors & trains terrorists, exporting them to carry out attacks on Indian soil, must understand that India is no longer a silent spectator. Any attempt to threaten our sovereignty will be met with a strong & decisive response.”

The actress was even called a “traitor” by some netizens. One X user wrote: “India is ashamed that a traitor like Amina Nijam was born in this country.”

Another user wrote, “Amina Nijam is openly disrespecting the lives of countless civilians and army personnel who have sacrificed so much. If authorities can take action against a comedian for their comments, then why is she allowed to walk free? It’s time to set a clear example for anyone who dares to undermine our national interests.”

Encountering brutal cyberattack, she later retracted her comments and apologised for the remarks. “There was a story that I had posted that belonged to a lawyer that said something about the killing of Pakistani civilians, but as soon as I came to know the official clarification that no civilians had been involved in the attack, I took down the story. I apologize for the same,” she wrote in another Instagram story.
Even though the actress apologised and admitted her ignorance over the fact that Indian military specifically targeted terrorist hideouts and that no civilian casualties were reported, her retraction still didn’t sit well with the social media users.
Highlighting her statement and the apology, one X user wrote that she should be deported to Pakistan. The X tweet reads, “Actress Amina Nijam’s Instagram post insulting India and apology post later. Such people should be deported to Pakistan.”
