South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan reacted to actor Mansoor Ali Khan’s derogatory comments on ‘rape scene’, on Saturday and called them sexist and misogynistic. She expressed her delight for not sharing screen with Mr Khan, a “pathetic human”. Both of the actors have played crucial characters in their recent Tamil movie Leo, a Thalapathy Vijay starrer, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Mr Khan was addressing press and spoke about his desire for having a rape scene with Ms Krishnan, which she traced “disgusting” and “disrespectful”. She also vowed to never work with him again. According to him, Mr Khan would have a rape scene with Ms Krishnan if he was cast as a villain in the movie. In Leo, both the actors were highly praised for their incredible performance and the movie went a super hit breaking several records in collection.
Once the footage of Mr Khan’s interview went viral, Ms Krishnan took to her X (formerly Twitter) and condemned his comments. She found it “sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste”. Ms Krishnan added that, Mr Khan could keep wishing but she was grateful for not sharing a screen space with a person who is “as pathetic as him”. “I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind”, said Ms Krishnan.
A recent video has come to my notice where Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner.I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen…

“Disheartened”, said Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj on the comments by Mansoor Ali Khan. He condemned the behaviour and strongly stated that respect for women and fellow co-workers is a non-negotiable aspect in the film industry. “I absolutely condemn this behaviour”, he added on X.
Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour. https://t.co/PBlMzsoDZ3

Chinmayi Sripaada, the south Indian playback singer also took to her X and reacted on the controversial dialogues of Mansoor Ali Khan. According to her, men like Mr Khan always talk like this, “never been condemned, with other men in power, money and influence laughing along”. She cited various examples and stated that such behaviours had “normalized” forever. “These people will never change, they live a looong time till they are 126 and keep spewing it till then”, Ms Sripada added.
