Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga To Take You Back To Wasteland

The highly anticipated spinoff sequel from the Mad Max universe, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, has dropped its trailer. The film is set to hit theaters on May 23 in India.

“Witness the Epic Battle for the Wasteland. Tickets are on sale NOW,” the official X handle of the film wrote. The runtime of the film has been confirmed to be 148 minutes, much longer than its predecessor.

Ahead of the film’s release, Furiosa has been garnering rave reviews, with many describing it as “ferocious” and “epic.”

Starring Anya Taylor-Joy as the titular Furiosa and Chris Hemsworth as Dr. Dementus, the standalone action film will reveal the origins of the iconic character from 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road.

Directed and co-produced by Academy Award winner George Miller, the post-apocalyptic film welcomes fans into the dystopian world where a young Furiosa and her journey from the Green Place of Many Mothers into the hands of a Biker Horde under the rule of Warlord Dementus. As they trek across the Wasteland and encounter The Immortal Joe, the two tyrants battle for dominance over the Citadel. Set about two decades before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road, this film will depict Furiosa’s journey of survival as she attempts to make a way towards her home.

The film also features Alyla Browne, Tom Burke, Nathan Jones, and Angus Sampson, among others, in key roles.

Helmed by Miller and his partner and Oscar-nominated producer Doug Mitchell, the film is co-produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures.
