A review by India Today observed that the story of Barroz isn’t “captivating enough” as it is slow-paced with “hardly anything happening to be stretched over two and a half hours.” The review, however, observed that although short-lived, the emotional moments between Barroz and Isabella (Esha) are promising and brilliantly executed.

The review also praised the cinematography by Santosh Sivan and music by Lydian Nadhaswaram. Firstpost calls the camera work “top-notch.”
