The Ram Temple inauguration held as a grand and opulent event on January 22, and many prominent dignitaries from various fields were present in Ayodhya to attend the ceremony. As the national media partake the event with full coverage, the social media were also flooding with pictures and videos from the ceremony. Meanwhile, actor Kamal Haasan in his recent interaction with media in Chennai, reiterated his stand regarding the Ram Temple inauguration.

“My answer is the same as what it was 30 years ago,” Times of India quotes as Kamal Haasan is saying. Even though it was not a direct answer, the veteran actor revealed that his political stand remains unchanged. Kamal Hassan, in fact, was referring to his statement he made back on December 6, 1991: “No one had the right to destroy Babri Masjid. It was my building just like Tanjore Temple and Velankanni church are mine,” TOI reports. He then added that he believes in people with the ideology of no religious difference. Kamal Haasan advanced the same point in 2000 film, Hey Ram where in the song, ‘Ramar Aanalum, Babar Aanalum Sneham Onu Thaan,’ and literal translation meant, “whether Ram or Babar, love is the same”.

On the work front, the actor will be seen next in the highly-anticipated project, Indian 2 directed by Shankar. As the film is all set to release this year, the movie boasts a stellar cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, and Bobby Simha in important roles. Besides, Thug Life with Mani Ratnam, and KH 233, a tentatively titled project with H Vinoth are some of his other upcoming projects.
