Ayushmann Khurrana is known for acing the out-of-the-box scripts. Khurrana often revel in playing the ordinary men battling conventional social norm with a perfected zest. Doing the unexpected can be considered as the core element of the multi-talented actor. Khurrana knows how to celebrate the untold characters with adroit ease.

Be it playing a gay character, falling in love with a trans woman or his latest release Dream Girls 2, in which Khurrana appeared in lehengas and sarees. Talking about his roles, the star said that the film he does are “also grandiose and have elements of simplicity”.

Talking to Filmfare during the photoshoot of the magazine’s February 2024 cover, Khurrana said people can relate to the characters he plays. He also added that commercial and epic film also “serve as great sources of inspiration for people”.

Khurrana’s performance in Andhadhun, the black-comedy crime thriller which was helmed by Sriram Raghavan has won him Filmfare Critics Award and National Film Award for Best Actor. He played the first openly gay character of Bollywood in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

Apart from acting, the star is also a singer, and has sung for several films. Talking to Filmfare, he said every new film is a learning experience for him. He said more than learning, he would like to polish his current skill set of acting, singing, and writing.

Ayushmann Khurrana is also the most welcomed singer of B-Town. The star’s soulful voice never misses to hit the spot for the audience. He sung “Pani Da Rang” in his debut movie, Vicky Donor. The film was a commercial success and Khurrana won the Best Male Debut and Best Male Playback Singer award from Filmfare.

Talking about his music, the Bareilly Ki Barfi star said, it is his true self. He said, “music is extremely close to my core, my true self. I’d like to experiment a lot with music. Because I am making music for myself, I am not influenced by the industry’s commercialization and capitalist mindset,”.
