Prabhas's Raja Saab Skips Summer Release For This Reason (Image-X/peoplemediafcy)
The Kalki 2898 AD star Prabhas is all set to change his game by headlining the upcoming horror comedy Raja Saab. Even though the film holds great anticipation for an April release, this Maruthi directorial has now hit a roadblock.
The film, which aimed for the April 10 release, has witnessed a sudden change of plans. Though the director and the production house are yet to announce the postponement, reports have unveiled the truth behind the film’s delay.
Reportedly, the film is witnessing a delay due to its heavy VFX work, which the makers wanted to execute flawlessly. Although the makers have not yet finalized the release date, the team has found some good spots that are available throughout the year.

However, the new release date of this Maruthi’s directorial will be announced only after the postproduction works are done. While some reports claim actor Prabhas’s ankle injury as the reason for the delay, the makers have clarified that it‘s not due to the actor’s health or other commitments.
The Raja Saab has faced considerable delays since it went into production in 2022. It took a while to shoot the film, even after the COVID-19 pandemic, but in December last year, the film’s team claimed to have wrapped up 80% of the shoot and assured that the post-production works were going in full swing.
While the film has been facing continuous delays, the fans are expecting the makers to unveil the teaser or trailer of the horror comedy along with the official announcement of the new release date. Moreover, the Kalki 2898 AD actor is also working on his next film with Hanu Raghavapudi, which is reportedly titled Fauji.

Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People’s Media Factory, the film will see music by Thaman. The movie, written and directed by Maruthi, will also feature Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Murali Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Yogi Babu and others in crucial roles. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
