Rajinikanth took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth on the release of her directorial venture Lal Salaam which hits the theatres today.
The legendary superstar sent his best wishes to his daughter in Tamil. Roughly translated, the tweet reads, “My love-filled wishes to my dear daughter Aishwarya. I pray to the Almighty that your film Lal Salaam will be a huge success.”
The proud dad also shared an unseen photo capturing a candid moment between the father-daughter duo. In the photo, Rajinikanth can be seen sitting on a wheelchair embracing daughter Aishwarya who can be seen taking care of him. Donning a pair of headphones and sunglasses, Rajinikanth oozes style in a layered outfit.

Dhanush and Aishwarya parted ways last year but continue to remain friends while co-parenting their son.
While Lal Salaam was initially planned to be released during Sankranti 2024, the film was postponed to avoid clashes with other Tamil and Telugu films. However, the film finally hits the theatres today. Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles as cricketers. Dhanya Balakrishnan, Senthil, Ravi Kumar, and Thambi Ramiah also play key roles.
The film is set to have a cameo by cricket legend Kapil Dev as well. Produced by Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions Banner, the music of the film has been scored by A. R Rehman while Vishnu Rangaswamy does the cinematography.
