Rashmika Mandanna, who gained nationwide fame with the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise, is now all set for the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which will hit the theatres on December 5 worldwide. Dubbed as the ‘national crush,’ Rashmika entered the film industry with the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party.

However, her breakthrough performance in the 2018 Telugu film Geetha Govindam gave her pan-Indian fame. And her role in Pushpa: The Rise later solidified her position as a rising star.

Rashmika’s cute expression from the film song ‘Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavale’ and the saree-adjusting sequence from the film created a huge buzz among youngsters. Moreover, her chemistry with Vijay Deverakonda on screen too was widely appreciated by the audience.

After creating remarkable box office numbers with her debut films, Rashmika went on to star in several films, including Dear Comrade, Sarileru Neekavvaru, and Bheeshma, which cemented her position as a leading actress in the South film industry.

After winning hearts in the South, Rashmika carved a niche for herself in the Hindi film Mission Majnu alongside Sidharth Malhotra. She was then seen alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the film Goodbye.

The Pushpa actress was born on April 5, 1996, in Karnataka’s Virajpet and completed her schooling at Coorg Public School in Karnataka. She pursued a pre-university course at the Mysore Institute of Commerce and Arts before earning a degree in Psychology, Journalism, and English Literature from M S Ramaiah College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Bangalore.

Before entering the film industry, she won Clean and Clear Fresh Face in 2014. She was the first-ever girl from Coorg to win the title.
