The famous Pakistani singer who had lent his voice to several famous songs in many Indian films, was in Dubai for a musical collaboration. Several reports were circulated regarding the arrest of the singer. The report claimed that the popular singer was arrested over a defamation complaint by his former manager Salman Ahmed.
“You are my power. My audience and fans are my power. After god, my fans are my power,” the 49-year-old said in the video message.
In his video, he also said that he had come to Dubai to record a song.
Earlier this year, Khan found himself at the center of a controversy after a video of allegedly slapping a person went viral on social media. In the purported video, Khan repeatedly was hitting and beating the man, whom he later has identified as his protege Naveed Hasnain, with a slipper asking “Where is my bottle?”
However, the singer later posted a video clarifying that the man in the video was his student. He further explained that the bottle contained holy water from a religious cleric who recited verses over it.
