SC Rejects Plea To Ban 'Yadav Ji ki Love Story'; Asks If Hindu Girl Marrying Muslim Destroys Nation's Fabric
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition filed by Vishwa Yadav Parishad chief seeking a ban on the movie ‘Yadav Ji ki love story’ alleging that the title of the movie creates an offensive against the Yadav community.
The petitioner claimed that the movie features a Hindu girl from the Yadav community falling in love with a Muslim man, creating a negative stereotype against the community.

The court, while rejecting the petition’s argument, asked: “Is a Hindu girl marrying a Muslim boy destroying the national fabric?” The court pointed out that the title of the movie did not have any adjective or word portraying Yadav community in bad light.

When the petitioner’s counsel contended that movie claims to be based on a real story, the court said in Bandit Queen movie, they said Gujjar community was shown in poor light. This court said ‘no’. It further asked the petition that he can approach the court if the movie really hurts the community after it release.
