Mumbai, Maharashtra: Playback singer Shreya Ghoshal had been missing for a while on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). After her account was hacked nearly two months ago, Ghoshal is finally back on X.

Sharing her experience of retrieving her account, Shreya posted a video message on Sunday. “I am back!! I will be talking and writing here often. Yes, my X account has been in trouble since it was hacked in February. Now, I have finally received help from the @X team after a lot of struggles in establishing proper communication. All is well! Now, I am here,” she wrote.

Addressing the fake ads and articles, Shreya warned her fans from clicking spam or fraudulent links.

Recently, a fake and fabricated story surfaced, purporting to be from The Indian Express, claiming that the renowned singer had disclosed her involvement in a secret, lucrative money-making platform, “Lovarionix Liquidity, where a source of income could lead to rapid wealth.

“Also, there are many weird ads that are running which are articles about me with very absurd headlines and AI generated pictures. These are click baits, which lead to spam / fraudulent links. Please keep reporting these ads. I have no power in putting them down. I have tried my best,” Shreya wrote on her X account.

The fake news story used an AI-generated video of celebrities, including Shreya and Kareena Kapoor Khan, on the Mirchi Plus programme, where they claimed that the AI-driven platform allowed users to make substantial daily profits with minimal effort, citing her own experience of generating significant income from a modest initial investment of Rs 21,000.

The singer asked fans to report these links. “X has to do something about it to ensure such ads don’t run. It’s not just me, many other celebrities are facing this. Please don’t click, you know they’re fraudulent and AI-generated,” she said.

Earlier, on March 1, Shreya informed fans on Instagram that she was struggling to get access to her X account.
