Suriya's Kanguva Gets A Revised Version: Trimmed By 12 Minutes
Suriya’s pan-Indian film, Kanguva, which received a monstrous opening at the box office, is now upgraded with a 12-minute-reduced runtime. The revised version of Siva’s directorial will now be available in theaters.
Amidst controversies and mixed opinions, Kanguva has been witnessing a dip at the box office, collecting just Rs 56 crores. And now as a twist, the revised version of the film has been recertified by the censor board, which is now being screened at the theaters.

The decision was reportedly made in response to the audience feedback, aiming to enhance the pacing and the overall viewing experience for the audience. Moreover, the updated runtime is expected to make the film more engaging, especially at the high-stakes sequences and emotional arcs.
As per reports, the trimmed content includes the minor scene and dialogue of the present portion, which did not significantly impact the core of the story.
As per the current modifications, the film, which was released with a runtime of 2 hours and 32 minutes, is now shortened to 2 hours and 20 minutes. Even though the initial time duration of the film was shorter, the weaker screenplay of the fantasy thriller was considered one of the factors that affected the film’s narrative.

Moreover, after receiving severe backlash for its sound mixing, which affected the viewing experience, the makers have also rectified the loud decibels.
