Tillotama Shome, actress is well-known for her performances in movies like Sir, Monsoon Wedding and Qissa, and in many independent film productions. Her recent Instagram story sharing snippets of Kareena Kapoor Khan“s interview has now caught the attention of social media. In the video, Ms Khan expresses her admiration for the performances of Tillotama Shome and Rasika Dugal and Ms Shome could not hold her surprise and excitement when Ms Khan mentioned her name. So sharing the glimpses of the video, she said it was too generous of Ms Khan and extended thanks.
She wrote: “This is TOO generous Kareena Kapoor Khan. Thanks for making space so generously. I am a bit gobsmacked, also heartful to be mentioned along with dear Rasika Dugal.” She also thanked her friend in London to share the interview with her.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of the admired actresses in the Bollywood, said in a recent interview with Forbes India that she liked the performances of Tillotama Shome and Rasika Dugal. She was asked what was her opinion on the youngers in the industry, the actors, technicians and the directors, and whose work she admired the most. To which, Ms Khan replied that with the coming of OTT, there are some amazing actors which she felt just brilliant. “I have seen so many shows and so many movies on the OTT platforms, where I am like I have never seen such actors … Tillotama Shome is one such actor. There are so many… Rasika Dugal. I see them and I am just like, “Guys, what are we doing? They are amazing.” I”d be shuddering if I have to stand,” actress said.
She then added that at present it is not about star or superstar, “today, you have to give a shot.” She also mentioned about Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti”s Made in Heaven and Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi”s Dahaad.
Ms Khan is recently seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix thriller Jaane Jaan, and she will be seen next in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders, which also marks Ms Khan”s debut role as a producer. Ms Shome”s recent releases include The Night Manager, Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, and Lust Stories 2.
