"The Legend Is Back": Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 Teaser Is Ready To Haunt You
After a long game of teasing, there is an exciting update in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. The makers have finally released the teaser for the much-awaited sequel, Stree 2, after the massive success of the horror-comedy Stree (2018).
Reprising their roles, Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor will be joined by the original cast: Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee. Joining the cast is the new addition actress Tamannaah Bhatia in a surprise role.
The teaser was first revealed for audiences watching Munjya, currently running in theatres, and is also part of the Stree universe.

Back to the haunting streets of Chanderi, the teaser reveals that the vengeful spirit (Flora Saini) is on the hunt for men again while the men try to hunt down Stree. With Shraddha’s character back, perhaps the sequel will unwrap the mystery behind her identity.
Directed by Amar Kaushik again, the sequel is the fifth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. With Stree stepping into the world of the supernatural, Maddock Films expanded the ghostly world with Janhvi Kapoor’s Roohi (2021), also starring Rao. It was then followed by Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya (2022) and the recent Munjya (2024).
Sharing the haunting teaser, Maddock Films wrote, “Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank! The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August 2024!”

Stree garnered both commercial and critical success with a Rs 190 crore box office collection. It’s music also gained significant attention, with tracks like the groovy ‘Milegi Milegi’ and the funky ‘Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe’ becoming chart-topping hits.
