Vijay Devarakonda's Spy Thriller 'Kingdom' Release Postponed (Image-X/TheDeverakonda)
Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming action entertainer Kingdom has been under the radar of the audience, with its release scheduled for May. But now, the film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, has undergone a major shift, with its release being rescheduled to July.
The current socio-political scenario of the country has paved the way for major alteration in the plans of Indian cinema. With many creators understanding the nation’s current situation, the theatrical releases of major films have been postponed.
Vijay’s Kingdom is the recent film added to the list of films postponed to offer a better experience for the viewers.

Citing the same as the reason behind the decision, the makers also mentioned that it appears unsuitable at the moment to have any promotional events for the action thriller. As per the official announcement, Kingdom is now scheduled to hit theatres on July 4.
Announcing the postponement, the Kalki 2898 AD actor, on his X handle, dropped a long note explaining the reschedule. While posting the picture of himself with Gowtam Tinnanuri, he wrote, “#Kingdom July 04, 2025. Will see you in the cinemas :)”
In the official announcement, while explaining the reason behind the decision, the makers also assured the audience that they will present the film in “the best possible way.”
The statement read, “We explored every possibility to stick to the original date. But recent unforeseen events in the country and the current atmosphere have made it difficult for us to move forward with promotions or celebrations.”
“We believe this decision will help us present Kingdom in the best possible way. We truly value your support and hope to receive your love when we meet you at the cinemas on July 4,” it added.

Kingdom is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and is produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments. Alongside Vijay, the film also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev. The Telugu film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who recently unveiled the first single from the movie, titled Hridayam Lopala.
