Vijay Deverakonda's 'Kingdom' Hits Theatres Today
Gowtam Tinnanuri’s highly anticipated Telugu spy action thriller, Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, has officially hit theatres worldwide today. Mounted on a lavish scale and envisioned as the first of a two-part saga, Kingdom blends high-stakes espionage with intense emotional drama.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Creations, and Srikara Studios, the film pairs Deverakonda with a formidable supporting cast including Satyadev, Bhagyashri Borse, and Venkitesh V.P., under the deft direction of Gowtam Tinnanuri, best known for his emotionally charged Jersey (2019).
Vijay Deverakonda takes on the role of Surya (Suri), a low-ranking police constable whose world is turned upside down when he is drawn into a dangerous international mission tied to his estranged brother Siva (played by Satyadev), a smuggler and one of the country’s most wanted fugitives.
The film’s teaser and trailer, released to massive online engagement, feature voiceovers from N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Suriya, and Ranbir Kapoor, underlining its pan-India appeal.

Set across multiple locations including Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala, and Sri Lanka, the film captures a world teetering between chaos and control, with Surya caught at its heart.
With Anirudh Ravichander helming the music, Kingdom carries a pulsating sonic energy. Tracks like “Hridayam Lopala” and “Anna Antene” have already topped charts.
The visuals are sculpted by Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John, with Naveen Nooli behind the editing table, ensuring a sleek, high-impact presentation.
Announced initially as VD12 in January 2023 and later titled Kingdom in February 2025, the film endured multiple delays. Originally set for release in March, then May, and again in July, it now finally lands on screens today, after two years of on-and-off filming.
While Kingdom is designed for the big screen, Netflix has bagged its digital rights, ensuring fans who miss the theatrical run can catch the action at home soon after its initial release window.
