Thalapathy Vijay’s final film before his full-fledged political entry, Jana Nayagan, created new records in the overseas market. The international rights of the H. Vinoth directorial have been acquired for a staggering Rs 75 crore on a refundable advance basis.
Jana Nayagan, the 69th film of the legendary actor, became the first-ever Tamil film that marked the highest-ever overseas deal to date. The record-breaking deal of the film has fuelled the anticipation of its release.

The film, which stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others, is expected to deliver a political message that supports the actor’s upcoming political ventures.
The title and the first look of the film were unveiled by the makers recently, after a long wait, and it instantly amplified the excitement of the fans. Post-release, the actor will shift his focus entirely to his political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).

In February this year, Vijay announced the launch of his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). The Election Commission officially registered it as a party in September last year.
Actor Vijay’s party drew large crowds for its first political conference on 27 October at Vikravandi in Tamil Nadu’s Viluppuram district. The actor also announced the political ideology of his party, which is secular social justice ideologies.
