13-Year-Old Boy Rapes And Impregnates 15-Year Old Sister; Booked

On Sunday, a 13-year-old boy was booked for allegedly raping and impregnating his 15-year-old sister. The boy was booked after the Vashi General Hospital reported a medico legal case (MLC) when the parents arrived at the hospital to terminate their daughter’s three-month-old pregnancy.

The boy will be produced before the Child Welfare Commission for further course of action. A case has been registered against the 13-year-old for rape under sections 376 (rape), 376(2) (repeatedly raping the same woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and sections 4, 6, 8, and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

As per the police statement, the girl claimed that her younger brother had impregnated her after both the siblings watched porn together. The police stated that the siblings had tried to have sex for the first time in December 2023 but failed. However, in January, the victim claimed that her younger brother forced himself upon her even when she told him no.

When the girl missed her period, she informed her mother about the incident. The parents took the girl to the hospital to terminate the pregnancy.

The incident happened when both parents – housekeepers by profession – were away for work. Reportedly, the family resides in a one-room kitchen house, with the father doing odd jobs at night as well.

Since the family resides in Panvel, where the incident happened, the case has been transferred to the Khandeshwar police station.
