6 Year Old Gujarat School Girl Sexually Assaulted And Killed By The School Principal
Three days after a six year old girl student’s body was found in the backyard of the government primary school of Dahod district of Gujarat, police on Sunday arrested the school principal for allegedly killing the child. The murder resulted as the child resisted his attempt to sexually assault her in his car.
On Thursday morning, the mother of the class 1 student has entrusted her in the principal’s care as he was driving to school from the girl’s village. But later in the evening the girl was found dead in the school premises.
Police launched a probe after the child’s body was found inside the school compound in a village of Singvad taluka on Thursday. During investigation it was revealed that the school principal Govind Nat, smothered the girl after she resisted his attempt to sexually molest her, said Superintendent of Police Rajdeepsinh Zala.

Police said that the principal confessed after being confronted with questions regarding the child’s absence and his time of leaving the school premises. The principal allegedly dumped the girl’s body in the school backyard after school, as he kept it hidden in his car the entire day and went about his routine.
The Superintendent of Police said that the child was last seen with the principal and her mother had sent her off at around 10.20 am that morning and entrusted her to the principal who has taken her along to the school in his vehicle. However, from the statements of other students and teachers it was ascertained that the child didn’t attend school on that day.
Initially, the principal said he was “unaware” of the child’s absence after her dropped her at school. But later he confessed his crime to the police. The principal also tried to mislead the investigation claiming that he had received a phone call on that evening, from the class teacher informing him that the child was missing. Since his answers were not convincing, the police initiated a technical investigation into his phone locations and it was established that he had taken longer than usual to reach school that morning.

During investigation he confessed that he had attempted to force himself upon the victim on the way to school in his car. However the girl resisted and began to scream and to silence her he smothered her. He kept the girl’s body in the car for the entire day and after school dispersal, he pulled out the body from his car and threw it in the backyard. He also took out her slippers and bag from his car and placed them outside the classroom.
Moreover, one of the students had also informed the police that he had seen the girl sleeping in the principal’s car, when school dispersed. It was also revealed that the principal left the school at the end after everyone else.
