A 5.5 Magnitude Earthquake In Jammu And Kashmir, Ladakh

A 5.5 Magnitude earthquake jolted Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh on at 3: 48 PM today (Monday). The main areas hit were Kargil, and Ladakh, according to data from National Centre for Seismology.

As per the latest information, no damages have been reported by the earthquake so far.

The epicentre of the earthquake was the Kargil region of Ladakh while the tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir and part of North India. The earthquake was reportedly felt in Chandigarh. There were also aftershocks of the earthquake, with 3.8 magnitude in Kargil and Ladakh and 4.8 magnitude at Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir at 4PM, according to National Centre for Seismology.
