Alcoholic Husband Kills Wife Over Suspected Extra-Marital Affair In Karnataka's Kallur
A man has allegedly killed his wife identified as 30-year-old Siddamma, a resident of Nayyodi on June 11. The husband, 40-year-old Bhuthali Nalnodi allegedly attacked the woman with an axe over suspicions of an extramarital affair. The incident happened in Karnataka’s Kallur village of Jevargi taluk.
The couple frequently had quarrels, particularly when the husband was under the influence of alcohol, police said. Following the quarrels, the relatives and villagers have intervened in the matter and advised the couple.

On Thursday, the accused man reportedly told his wife he was going to a sugarcane field and took her along on a motorcycle. On the way to the field, the man stopped his vehicle about 100 metres before the field and attacked her with an axe, resulting in her death on the spot
The accused had sent the couple’s three children to the field before the gruesome murder. Senior police officials, including Kalaburagi Superintendent of Police Addooru Srinivasulu and other officers, visited the scene and conducted an inspection. The search for the accused man, who fled the scene after the incident, is underway.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case at Nelogi police station, and investigation is underway.
