BJP's Black Money Could Be Worth Rs 1 Lakh CR: Shiv Sena MP Raut On BJP Using State Agencies

Amid BJP criticising the congress party after the income tax department seized over RS 200 crore from the residence of congress MP from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Sahu, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut questioned the nature of the ED and CBI operations hinting why only congress leaders are being raided and not the BJP. BJP leaders had targeted the Congress over the money that has been recovered from the Congress member of Parliament.

“If Rs 200 crore in black money has been found from a member of the INDIA alliance, it implies that BJP leaders may possess black money worth Rs 1 lakh crore,” Sanjay Raut can be heard saying in a video posted by ANI.

Raut is seen mentioning some of the specific names associated with the BJP, including the BJP MLA Prasad Lad, accusing the BJP of misusing the investigative agencies to conceal the scams worth thousands of crores to protect the BJP.

On Friday, December 8, income tax had raided several locations associated with Congress leader Dheeraj Sahu and recovered more than 200 crores from the raids altogether.

Along with BJP demanding an Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe into the matter, many of its leaders had taken to X, attacking the congress over its member being caught, India Today reports.

Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) and former Jharkhand BJP chief Deepak Prakash had taken to X saying: “These are the pictures of the cash recovered in the raid from the house of only one Congress MP. Imagine how many more would be there who have been hollowing out the country for”. A rough translation of his Hindi post reads.

However, Sanjay Raut’s comment about the works of the law enforcement agencies targeting the opposition parties comes at a time when many cases are being reported of using state agencies to target the dissents.
