Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke arrived in New Delhi on Saturday morning and secured permission from the Delhi Police to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar, marking a significant development in the youth-led movement that has gained attention across social media platforms.

Dipke landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 around 7:30 am on a British Airways flight.

Soon after his arrival, a team of senior police officials met him at the airport. Following discussions, the Delhi Police granted permission for the protest at Jantar Mantar.

The Cockroach Janta Party later announced on social media that supporters could now gather directly at Jantar Mantar instead of assembling at the Parliament Street Police Station as originally planned.

Shortly after his arrival, controversy emerged when some supporters claimed Dipke had been taken to an undisclosed location by officials after immigration clearance.

According to group members, he was surrounded by several uniformed and plainclothes personnel, raising concerns among supporters. However, Dipke was later seen leaving the airport, putting speculation about his detention to rest.

In a post on X, Dipke urged supporters to maintain peace during the demonstration.

“Landed. Looking forward to meeting you all at Jantar Mantar. Do not forget to carry a book and our Tiranga. Offer flowers to policemen as a gesture of compassion and gratitude. We have to lead this movement with love and peace,” he wrote.

Security arrangements were tightened around the airport and key locations in central Delhi ahead of the planned gathering. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers to ensure law and order.

Ashutosh Ranka, a spokesperson for the Cockroach Janta Party, expressed confidence that the protest would remain peaceful and said young people from different parts of the country were expected to join the demonstration.
