Congress Leader Murdered By Husband In Mysore

A Congress leader was allegedly murdered by his husband in Mysuru. Vidya, 36, a resident of Srirampur, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband, Nandish, on Monday night, according to police reports. Vidya served as the city general secretary of the women”s wing of the Mysore district congress committee.

Vidya’s body was discovered at their residence in Srirampur, where the incident occurred. Reportedly, the couple shared a history of issues and quarrels. It is believed that the couple had a heated argument on Monday night at their home in Mysuru”s Turganur. However, the exact reason for the death is yet to be ascertained.

The murder came to light when local people noticed Vidhya’s body lying in a pool of blood. Nandish was unable to locate and it raised suspicions regarding his involvement in the crime.

Mysore district superintend of police, Seema Latkar, Additional SP Dr Nandini, and Nanjangudu DySP Govindaraju visited and inspected the spot where murder occurred. Bannuru Police started a manhunt in search of her husband. The dead body was shifted to KR Hospital in Mysuru for an autopsy.

Apart from being an being an active leader on the political front, Vidya has appeared in a few  Kannada movies, including Bhajrangi and Vajrakaya. The couple has two daughters.
