A family of four were stabbed to death by an unidentified assailant at Kemmannu in Udupi district of Karnataka on Sunday. According to the police a masked man forcibly entered into the house and brutally attacked Hasina (46), and her three children aged 23, 21 and 12.
The youngest son who entered into the scene was also killed by the attacker. Superintendent of Police Dr K Arun said that four were murdered by stabbing. An investigation is in process and no valuables have been stolen from the house. The investigation will be carried out in all different angles, the police said, reports new Indian Express.
“Today, four people have been murdered near Nejar Village. Haseena and her three children were stabbed to death,” the Superintendent said. He also added that the initial investigation suggests personal enmity as the motive behind the murders.
We received information at 10 am from the neighbours who heard the victims screaming and shouting. We are looking at whether the murderer had any enmity with the mother or children,” a senior police official said.
Sources said that the victim’s husband is working in the Gulf. Another woman too was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital. Udupi District Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar visited the scene of the crime.
