"Get Out Of Here": Mumbai Commuter Confronts BJP Minister Over Rally-Caused Traffic Jam

Mumbai, Maharashtra: A frustrated woman commuter confronted Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan and police officials for causing heavy traffic jams in Mumbai’s Worli area on Tuesday, April 21. The minister was holding a political rally, causing extreme traffic congestion during peak hour.

The event, a protest march organised by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) under the Mahayuti alliance against opposition for defeating the constitutional amendment and women’s reservation bills in Lok Sabha recently, caused traffic disruptions in the city.

Frustrated by the traffic jam, the woman, who was on her way to pick up her child from school, stepped out of her vehicle, walked into the center of the march and engaged in a heated exchange with Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajan. After getting stranded in the traffic, the frustrated woman asked the minister to get out of the place.

When a police officer confronted the woman after exchanging words with the minister, the woman asked the official to ‘shut up’. The minister was confronted in front of the public.

The video of the incident has went viral on social media, with many appreciating the woman for standing up to the politicians who occasionally cause traffic jams in Indian cities.
