Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for “spreading hate from morning till evening”. Congress MP added that they were full of hatred against everyone. It was while addressing one of the rallies as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra the Congress MP attacked BJP leaders.
Pointing at Himanta Biswa Sarma, Rahul Gandhi said that he was surprised how Assam Chief Minister imagined that he can scare him. “There are 28 cases against me already, file 25 more cases I won’t be deterred and I’m not scared of RSS and the BJP”, Rahul Gandhi said referring to FIR filed against Congress MP and other Congress leaders by Assam Police.
“Hatred cannot defeat hatred, only love can”, Rahul Gandhi remarked and then added that that”s why he and his party were not against Modi, Shah or Sarma in person but against the hatred in their heart. Congress MP added that along with hate, the BJP and its Assam Chief Minister were spreading fear also.
“As they spread hate and fear, they steal your wealth in the meanwhile”, he told the crowd while citing that the Assam Chief Minister had allegedly grabbed land in Kaziranga Park.
Continuing further, Rahul Gandhi argued that Himanta Biswa Sarma’s remote control is in the hands of Amit Shah. It is an insult to Assam that the state is being run from Delhi, he added. Rahul Gandhi, then recalled that when Tarun Gogoi was the Chief Minister of Assam, everything was done from Assam.
Congress leader alleged that the RSS and the BJP were trying to wipe out the Assamese history, culture and language and wanted to impose the culture of Nagpur. The Congress party will not let that happen, he stressed.
