Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Bhupendra Raghuvanshi, a contractor and pub owner in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, died by alleged suicide by consuming poison on Monday, August 25. The man died while in treatment after he was rushed to a hospital as his health worsened.

In the suicide note, Raghuvanshi alleged that the woman exported over Rs 25 lakh from him, adding that she demanded an iPhone-17, a flat, and a car, while also threatening to lodge police complaints against him, reported Bhaskar, citing the notes.

The man says everything was fine during the initial time and later the woman began intimidating him, saying she would file a rape case. He claims she forced him to keep one phone always free for her calls, and even hacked his devices. He says all occurred with his consent initially, as he bore all expenses, including flights, shopping, salons, and gifts, but later she, he claims, got support and kept him confined, and then began to blackmail him repeatedly. Raghuvanshi also alleged that Tiwari had fought with him in front of his driver, assaulted him with a bag, and broke his phone.

He says the woman’s husband was aware of their relationship and was not directly involved. The police have said that they will probe the matters based on the allegation in the suicide note.

According to Raghuvanshi’s family and friends, he had withdrawn from them in recent months, and had mounting financial pressure, including debts. His daughter, currently in an IT company in the US, is likely to perform the final rites of the man.

Police said they are investigating the matter based on the contents of the suicide notes and the allegations made. Users on social media have reacted to the police’s alleged inaction against the woman. An X user, venom, pointed out, “She has not been arrested yet Since she is a woman, she won’t face any punishment. Another innocent man has lost his life, almost entirely because of a gold digger.”
