For the unique tale of love between a Brazilian woman and an Indian man to flourish, the couple had to overcome numerous challenges. A 51-year-old Rosie Naid Shikera, a woman from Brazil found her soulmate in India, Pawan Kalyan, who is younger than her son. To be with her loved one, Rosie chose to leave her family behind and journeyed halfway across the globe to be with a 30-year-old man from Bhind, Chhattisgarh, India.
Rosie had met Pawan during her visit to Kutch, last year. Despite their differences in age, language, they formed a friendship that grew into a strong romantic relationship. Thousands of kilometers apart, the love birds were able to maintain and strengthen their connection through social media.

The relationship, however, faced several challenges including their 21 years of age difference and communication issues due to different native languages.
However, Rosie and Pawan were able to bridge these gaps. Moreover, Rosie’s decision to leave her family behind was no small feat. She had a well-established family, including a husband and 32-year-old son. But her feelings for her Pawan made her take the brave step of starting anew in India.
Rosie is now residing with Pawan’s family in Delhi and they have formally announced their wedding plans to marry. Their intention was made official when they presented their wedding invitation to the local District Collector.
Rosie has expressed her willingness to settle in India permanently following their wedding. Rosie’s and Pawan’s love saga demonstrates that love can thrive despite obstacles.

A similar instance had taken place earlier in 2023, when Christen Liebert, Swedish married Pawan Kumar from Uttar Pradesh after meeting him on Facebook. The bond that flourished through online communication, culminated in a heartfelt ceremony celebrating their love across cultures.
