Suresh narrated the incident to the police. He said that on that day, the couple along with their toddler went to the park and dropped his wife and toddler back at their apartment at 9 pm and went to the nearby bar and restaurant.
After returning home, while he was resting on the sofa, his wife came with the food prepared by her parents. Though she forced him to eat, he said that he had already eaten and asked her to eat and sleep.
Nalini after having food returned the vessel to her mother. While she was going to take a bath, she started scolding him for not eating the food saying that he doesn’t eat the food she prepares and only eats his mother’s food.
Suresh scolded her for dragging his mother into the issue. “In the fit of rage, she got a scissor and tried to stab me in the neck. I tried to avoid it and received a stab on my jaw,” he said.
He then asked her to stop the assault and behave as their son was sleeping. However, she continued to stab him on his hands. To save himself, Suresh ran to her parent’s home who lived next to their building.
However, her mother scolded him and told him to file a complaint.
Suresh went to the nearby hospital and filed a complaint on June 28. A notice was issued to Nalini asking her to appear for interrogation.
Meanwhile, Nalini too filed a complaint against Suresh at Basavanagudi women police station. The couple made allegations against each other. Police personnel counseled the couple and sent them home.
