Man Beheads Wife For Delay In Morning Tea

A 52-year-old man allegedly beheaded his wife over a squabble began over a cup of tea. The incident took place in Bhojpur village in Ghaziabad on Tuesday.

Dharamveer, a daily wage labourer, had asked his wife Sundari for Tea twice, and her reply that it would take some time got him enraged. Following a bitter fight, Dharamveer brought out a sword and allegedly hacked his wife from behind. Sundari collapsed to the ground and died. The reports says that when the incident happened their four children were asleep in another room.

DCP (rural) Vivek Yadav reports that Sundari woke up around 6am and was making tea in the Kitchen. “Dharamveer woke up a few minutes later and called out to her for a cup of tea. The couple”s four children (three boys and girls) were asleep in another room,” Times of India quotes as DCP is saying.

“After around five minutes, Dharamveer asked for tea again and rushed to the makeshift kitchen on the terrace. He got angry when his wife told him it would take another 10 minutes for the tea to get ready and kicked the utensils away, TOI quotes as he is saying. Thus, Dharamveer rushed downstairs and came back with a sword. When Sundari continued to make tea on the stove, he hacked her from behind, the officer added.

Hearing her cries, the children awake from the sleep rushed to the terrace and tries to save their mother, but “Dharamveer swished the sword at them too. They went back to their room in fear,” Yadav said.

The local police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
