Veteran actress and popular TV show host Simi Garewal praised Rahul Gandhi, and said her respect for the senior Congress leader increases every day. On her recent X post, she says that no other politician chooses to go to the most poor and suffering to cure their pain like Rahul Gandhi.
“My respect for @RahulGandhi increases each day. Which other politician chooses to go to to the most poor & suffering to heal their pain? The truth: not even one. They wallow in their luxuries. It’s like he has a messianic zeal to alleviate misery & comfort those in agony & distress. These are noble acts my friends..,” Simi Garewal tweeted.

This is not the first time Simi Garewal expressed her appreciation for Rahul Gandhi. During the time of Lok Sabha polls, when there were speculations concerning Congress leader’s candidacy from Amethi, actress expressed her concerns regarding the same. Though she recognises Gandhi’s capacity to win in “fair election” doubts about it as the BJP’s political strategy in play.
On Twitter, she wrote: “IMHO I don’t think @RahulGandhi should contest from Amethi. Not that he can’t win. In a fair contest he can! But the entire BJP artillery will be aimed only at him. Why become cannon fodder? There are other bigger battles to be fought..”

When election results are announced, Simi Garewal commented about BJP’s underperformance in Lok Sabha polls, saying, “Arrogance was avenged.” She also praised Rahul Gandhi for his campaigns with “courage, compassion & dignity.”
