Jantar Mantar Protest: Over 700 Detained As Delhi Police Block Access To Site

New Delhi: Delhi police have detailed over 500 people who marched towards Jantar Mantar, blocking their access to the protest site on Friday, October 2. The detained includes AAP leaders and members of various student organisations.

The police have imposed a prohibitory order and additional security personnel deployed even as the protesters gathered to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The people were seen opening up the gate of the vehicles which reportedly had the detainees, and releasing them. The protesters continued to raise slogans thereafter, with some questioning police officials on their badges.
