Pahalgam Victim’s Wife Faces Online Abuse For Saying “Want No Hate Towards Muslims, Kashmiris”
Himanshi Narwal, the Pahalgam terror attack victim’s wife, has been facing severe cyber attack after she urged people not to target Muslims and Kashmiris for the unfortunate incident. While speaking to the media, Himanshi, wife of Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was gunned down in front of her during the deadly terrorist attack, said, “People going against Muslims and Kashmiris, we don’t want this, we want peace.”
Himanshi had also sought to hunt down the perpetrator, stating whoever behind the terrorist attack, that left 26 people dead, should be punished, and that the justice should be served.

The remark, however, triggered a large section of right-wing groups, which quickly turned out to be online abuses through infamous hatemongering IT Cells and social media accounts.
Accusing her of showing love towards Muslims, several handles including X account, BALA, with huge number of followers, attacked the widow, questioning her postures and body language. The handle even raised doubt judging the way Himanshi sat near her husband’s dead body in a widely shared image from day of the gruesome incident.

While many users alleged that Himanshi wanted political gains and sought her husband’s money, several demanded that she should be sent to Pakistan.

However, there are many who defended Himanshi, slamming the abusers for thinking “very low.”
A user named Dr. Hiralal Alawa, lauded Himanshi noting that the woman who saw her husband killed by the bullet of hate, is standing against hate today. “And you, who spew hate from your keyboard, are teaching her ‘religion’? Her grief became her strength, your hate is just a cover for your weakness,” the user wrote, highlighting that by trying to silence the one whose wound is giving voice to humanity, the abusers are showing the “depth of their thinking — and that is very ‘low’.”
