Rahul Gandhi 'Proud Of Seeing Bajaj, Hero & TVS In Colombia; Notes 'Innovation Trumps Cronyism

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, on Friday puring his visit to Colombia, praised Indian companies for their global success. The Congress leader, who is on a trip in Colombia also criticised cronyism while stating that Indian companies can win with innovation.

In a social media post on X, the opposition leader wrote, “Proud to see Bajaj, Hero & TVS do so well in Colombia. Shows Indian companies can win with innovation, not cronyism. Great job” He also shared a picture of himself with a Bajaj Pulsar motorbike in the backdrop.

Rahul Gandhi reached Bogota, Colombia earlier this week as a part of his South America tour. The Congress leader is interacting with political leaders, university students, and members of the business community.

While speaking in the foreign country, the Congress leader said that India’s businesses can thrive internationally through merit, rather than relying on political connections.

Addressing a seminar at EIA University in Medellin, the Congress leader alleged that three or four businesses taking over the whole economy, having a direct relationship with the prime minister, is rampant in India. He claimed that huge amounts of corruption at a centralised level” in the country.

The Congress leader further stated that India has a much more complex system as compared to China and its strengths are very different from that of the neighbouring country.
