Chennai, Tamil Nadu: After filing a divorce case earlier this year, Sangeetha Sornalingam, Tamil Nadu chief minister Joseph Vijay‘s wife, has today withdrew the case.

The court was adjourned Sangeetha announced her withdrawal. Sangeetha attended the proceedings through video-conferencing and submitted to the court her reasons for withdrawing the petition.

Sangeetha had filed the case in February this year, saying that she wanted divorce from Vijay. Vijay and Sangeetha’s marital dispute has witnessed several adjournments this year. On June 15, the proceedings had already been adjourned after Sangeetha indicated her intention to withdraw the petition. She had also appeared through video conferencing during that hearing and informed the court of her decision.

The matter was subsequently posted for further hearing on August 7.
