Two Arrested For Threatening To Bomb Ram Temple, UP Chief Minister; Accused Pretended To Be Muslims

After the bomb threat to the Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a team from Uttar Pradesh’s special task force arrested two people on Wednesday, according to officials. The DGP headquarter in Uttar Pradesh had received the bomb threat message on December 27.

The arrested, Omprakash Mishra and Tahar Singh from the Vibhuti Khand area of Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar used fake email IDs to send the threat messages. “alamansarikhan608@gmail.com” and “zubairkhanisi199@gmail.com” are the two email accounts that were used to send messages threatening to blow up the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and bomb the Ram temple. According to officials, it was Tahar Singh who created the email accounts and Omprakash Mishra who sent the threat messages.

Special Task Force Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramesh Kumar Shukla, who is leading the investigation, said that the accused revealed that they had been acting under the directions of Devendra Tiwari, who ran non-governmental organisations (NGO) under the names of Bharatiya Kisan Manch and Bhartiya Gau Seva Parishad, India Today reported.

The accused also said that Devendra Tiwari, against whom several criminal cases had been registered in many police stations had told them that this would make them hog the limelight on social media and security would also increase and they could also get huge political benefits, Times of India reported.

However, several reports suggest that there have been increased instances of such cases where people are making inflammatory or divisive posts on social media pretending to be Muslims, which many think could inflame the communally polarised society.
