Six workers were killed and many injured when a wall structure in Uttarakhand“s Haridwar collapsed on Tuesday morning. The incident happened at the Lahboli village and structure was part of a brick kiln where the labourers worked. The injured have been sent to district hospital in Roorkee, TOI reports.
Hearing about the incident, police and administrative officers including senior superintendent of police (SSP) Pramendra Dobhal soon rushed to the site and began the rescue operations.
“We received information at around 8.30 am that the wall of a brick kiln had collapsed in Lahboli village under Manglaur police station. At least six people have been confirmed dead, while several others have sustained injuries. They have been rushed to a hospital. SSP Pramendra Dobhal is at the spot,” the district Police PRO said.

“We are looking into the circumstances that led to the accident. Tough legal action will be taken against whoever is found responsible for it,” the police officer has added.
The police are yet to reveal the identities of the deceased and also update on the condition of the injured admitted in the hospital.
