Farook College Students Visit Oman Under Arabic Studies Exchange Programme
Calicut: A student delegation from Farook College, Kozhikode, visited Oman as a part of a student exchange program with Al Sharqiya University in the Sultanate of Oman.
This international academic collaboration is under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan, a higher education scheme of the central government.
The Arabic department of Farook College and the Arabic department of Al Sharqiya University jointly organised the event, which was attended by a team of 11 postgraduate students, Head of the Arabic Department Dr Yunus Saleem and Program Coordinator Dr K.P. Abbas.
Students gained direct experience in Arabic language and literature studies.
This initiative was aimed at achieving Arabic cultural and traditional exposure to the students. The main agenda of the trip was academic workshops and sessions.

Students had the opportunity to interact with leading scholars on topics such as Arabic literature, criticism, Omani history and culture.
In addition to the academic sessions, the group also visited historical sites such as Nizwa, Jebel Akhdar, the Oman Across Ages Museum, and the National Museum in Muscat. The exchange program aimed to strengthen international cooperation in Arabic studies and enhance research excellence
