No one is talking about…: Owaisi ahead of temple inauguration

AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today explained how the Ayodhya turned out to be a hotspot of political vote bank, saying that nobody speaks anything about the real story as everyone is busy targeting the votes of the majority community. During a media brief, the AIMIM president, talking about the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Govind Ballabh Pant, said that it was during Ballabh Pant’s governance that the idols were placed inside the Babari Masjid in which the Muslims offered namaz for 500 years. The then collector of the Faizabad district KK Nair, Owaisi says, shut the masjid and allowed worshipping over there. Owaisi continued that had the Ballabh Pant removed those idols back then and had the Majdi not been demolished in 1992, we would not have to see things how they are today, suggesting that the political scenario of the country too would not have been the same as it is today.

“Had GB Pant removed those idols back then and had the Masjid not been demolished in 1992, we wouldn”t have to see things how they are today,” he said hinting the political intention behind the whole actions.

Owaisi also noted that even Mahatma Gandhi has never mentioned anything about Ram Mandir and “very systematically, Babari Masjid has been taken away from Indian Muslims,” Owaisi said.

Taking a swipe at the AAP chief and Arvind Kejriwal on his government plan to organise Sunderkand Paath and Hanuman Chalisa, Owaisi said that everyone is busy targeting votes.  In an interview with Indian Express, Owaisi had questioned the AAP government, asking if the Delhi chief minister is going to take on BJP by conducting Hanuman Chalisa and Sunderkand Path in government schools.

“What kind of ideology is this the Delhi Chief Minister is saying that we will recite Hanuman Chalisa and Sunderkand Path in government schools. What is this ideology? Do you want to take on the BJP this way?” AIMIM chief asked in the interview.

Owaisi further pointed out that the secular parties say they would have gone to Ayodhya if Modi had not been there. “I ask what is their stand on December 6,” he said.
