The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice about the registration of students in Classes 9 and 11. According to the notice, the registration of students in classes 9 and 11 will be closed by October 16, 2024. Schools are requested to ensure that the registration of these students must be completed on time.
The official notice said, ‘The schools are directed to ensure that the registration of 100% of students of classes IX and XI studying in their schools is done. No student remained unregistered.”

Also, the CBSE said that from next year, when the LOC is filled, no registration will be done by the board. According to the board, some schools could not register 100% of the students due to reasons including, the student was not well and being hospitalized, the clerk mistakenly leaving the student, due to some technical error, the student was not at the station, the name was deleted and many other reasons.
The official notice mentioned that such mistakes would not be expected from the schools and would be taken seriously.
Also, the CBSE has opened online registration and application form submission for class 10th and 12th private students for the 2025 board exams to be held in February/March/April. Students can apply through the CBSE official website – cbse.gov.in for registration.

The online submission was started on September 18, 2024, and will be accepted till October 16, 2024. The form can be submitted with a late fee till October 20, 2024.
