An Instagram reel shared by a Zomato delivery agent showing his accommodation in a Mumbai slum has attracted millions of views on the social media. The reel shows the narrow accommodation of the Pranjoy Borgoyary, a Northeast India native, living in the slum. Borgoyary moved out of his home to work as a delivery driver in the city to be a breadwinner.

An aspiring singer and a state-level football player, Borgoyary is living in a shared room in the slum. The video shows a narrow way towards the tiny room shared with his friend.  The Borgoyary is staying in the room for a monthly rent of a meagre Rs 500.

Users poured praise on the delivery driver, also an artist, for working hard despite the challenges in life. Notably, an Instagram user, Khushi, paid three-month rent – around Rs 1500 – for the delivery driver as she was deeply touched by the struggle of the Borgoyary.

In a post on X, Khushi, wrote, “Saw someone’s reel that their rent for a slum in Mumbai was ₹500 so I paid their 3 months ka rent pls I was going to cry.”

The room can be reached through a very narrow street, and the video shows narrow iron staircase, stained walls and the whole room covered with clothes.

The video has accumulated over 4.4 millions views, with many expressing their hope that the Zomato agent will have a good career moving out to a better place.
