Snake In Delhi Metro ? Here's What DMRC Found Out
A video purportedly claiming a snake sighting in a Delhi Metro women’s coach went viral on Thursday, triggering alarm and chaos. Though the snake itself is not visible in the clip, the video shows scared women passengers screaming, jumping, and climbing onto seats. Some panicked and ran in the opposite direction within the metro coach, pointing towards the floor in horror.
When passengers raised an alert, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) took immediate action. The train was stopped and passengers were evacuated at Akshardham Metro Station and then sent to the depot for a detailed inspection.

Following the thorough examination of the coach and after checking the CCTV footage, railway authorities did not locate the snake. However, a baby lizard was discovered during the probe.
In a statement, DMRC‘s Corporate Communications head, Anuj Dayal, said, “A video is in wide circulation, where although the snake is not visible in the video, but it is being purportedly claimed that a snake was spotted in a ladies coach.”
