Man Runs 26 Km On Girlfriend’s 26th Birthday, Viral Video Leaves Internet In Awe
A man’s unique birthday gesture for his girlfriend has won hearts online after a video of him running 26 kilometres on her 26th birthday went viral on social media.
Avik Bhattacharya shared the video on Instagram through a joint account, @simranxavik, which he runs with his girlfriend Simran.
The clip shows him dedicating a 26 km run to celebrate Simran’s birthday, turning an ordinary celebration into a touching moment.
In the video, Simran explains that she had planned to run 26 km herself on her birthday but could not do so as she was unwell. Moved by Avik’s gesture, she says she does not know how to “match” what he did for her.

The video then cuts to Avik announcing his plan before the run. As he runs, he records short clips, sharing his thoughts and wishing good health and happiness for Simran.
He also reveals that he chose to run without earphones so he could stay mindful and think about the happy moments they have shared together.

Avik mentions that both he and Simran are training for the upcoming Mumbai Marathon, which is just weeks away. However, he wanted this particular run to be special and fully dedicated to her.
The video shows him completing different distance milestones, including 2 km, 4 km, 6 km, and 10 km, while reflecting on the importance of physical fitness and well-being.
