Prime Minister Narendra Modi”s pictures are now dominating the Indian media including social platforms, with photos of him meditating in the southern edge, Kanyakumari. The Prime Minister is on a three-day meditation break that began on May 30 and will end by June 1, the day the final phase of Lok Sabha elections will be conducted.

As campaigns for the seventh phase concluded two days before the elections, the opposition has called the Prime Minister”s visit and mediation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial “a violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).” The Congress on Wednesday submitted a complaint to the Election Commission of India, citing poll code violations and demanding that the trip should either be postponed or its broadcast be banned.

As the BJP handles shared the Prime Minister”s pictures, Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee took a jibe at the presence of a camera when one goes to mediate. “Who takes the camera while meditating,” she asked.

However, since yesterday, photos of the Prime Minister have been coming out, with the BJP”s official handle sharing them. The saffron party”s X (formerly Twitter) handle shared the pictures “Glimpses from Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi“s 45-hour long meditation session in Kanniyakumari,” with captions such as “Faith meets worship,” “India’s sunrise,” and “When spirituality is your strength.”

Notably, netizens have also reacted to the meditation of the Prime Minister, suggesting that camera and Godi media are the biggest strength of the BJP. Many commented trolling the Prime Minister and the meditation with photo shoots. However, the state government has deployed 20,000 police personnel and various security agencies for the Prime Minister”s security.
