Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem made history with a new Olympic record at the Paris Olympics 2024 in the men’s javelin finals. Apart from cricket, a new sport has now reignited the India-Pakistan rivalry.
Neeraj Chopra, the Tokyo Olympics gold medallist, is now the silver medallist. Indo-Pak rivalry was at play, as Chopra lost to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who stunned everyone by setting a record with a monstrous throw of 92.97 meters, earning the Olympic gold medal.

With this, Nadeen has secured the country’s first-ever track and field medal at the Olympics and ended Pakistan’s 32-year medal drought. Seeing their countryman shine at the top stage, the Pakistan fans were over the moon and they took on their celebrations to X.

The fans also showed respect to India’s javelin champion Neeraj Chopra and reminded everyone about the special bond they shared with the two athletes of the arch-rival nations.
