Google Play Store's This New Feature Helps You Pick Up Where You Left Off.

Google Play Store has introduced a convenient new feature called “Continue playing” to help users keep track of their installed games as the platform announced on Thursday. This update is set to solve the problem of forgetting about downloaded games or struggling to find them on your device.

The “Continue playing” section can be found under the “Games” tab in the Google Play Store and here, you’ll see a list of all your installed games along with the date you last played or installed them. If you haven’t played a game yet, the section will show the installation date.

This feature is especially useful for those who often download games but forget to play them. With “Continue playing,” you can easily find and launch games you’ve installed, track when you last played each game and quickly start playing with a single tap on the “Play” button.

This will indeed help you organise and keep track of your games, save time searching for installed games and encourage you to pick up where you left off and continue playing.

The “Continue playing” section is currently available in Google Play Store version 43.4.23-31, but it’s unclear when it will roll out to all users.

Google has also released “Download Manager” to track recently installed apps and games and simultaneous downloads and updates, introduced earlier this year.  The tech giant Google has reportedly lifted its minimum requirement policy as the quality of Android apps was evaluated to remove unwanted apps from the Play Store.

The apps that carry trivial content and limited functionality were taken away from the Play Store. Google stated that those apps are not productive and do nothing creative at all. The apps are not available to be on the list of Play Store apps now.
